The wiki page

Here we describe the wiki page.

A wiki page is tall and narrow, so pages can be viewed side by side. This helps to read multiple cross-linked pages in relation to one another. See: The wiki lineup of pages

# Paragraphs/plugins A page is composed of paragraphs. Each paragraph is a plugin. Different plugins do different things: some render text, some carry images or media. Some draw network diagrams, some do calculations, etc. A Read-Only user may be most concerned with the plugins/pargraphs that render text. Like THIS ONE.

Another example: the paragraph at the bottom of this page is a plugin that draws a graph of links and backlinks for this page.

# Page flags Every page has a flag. This is the coloured square that precedes the page title. A copy of a page can be dragged into another lineup in another browser tab, by dragging their flag.

The flag belongs to the wiki not the page; flags help to distinguish numerous wikis in the browser tab menu.

If there are versions of the page in other wikis in the neighborhood, their site flags will be shown above the flag on this page. From this you can see which page version is newest or oldest.

# Back-links for a page At the foot of the page is a bar that shows back-links. It says: `'x pages link here'`. Click on any of these links to add the page to the end of the lineup. `Try it now?`

# The page footer At the very foot of the page are four links: - The creative commons licence - The json code of the page (for tech users only) - The url of the page (right-click to copy this to the clipboard) - Seach the entire federation (not just the current neighborhood)

# Coloured pages A page can have a coloured border. - White border (no border) = A page in the current wiki site - Blue border = A page that lives in some other wiki. Hover over its flag to see which site it's in. For example, this page Narrative frame - Making a living economy - Green border = A 'tool' page furnished by the server. For example Recent changes - Grey border and page = A 'ghost' page containing transitory information, and offering choices. For example, the Hamburger menu 'Selected Plug Ins' page. - Yellow border = A page that has been edited but not yet saved to the server. It currently lives in browser local storage.

Any page can be removed from the lineup by dragging it off the top of the tab. The last-added page can be removed by clicking the browser's \<Back> button.
